Your course is led by Stewart, founder of Frogmouth Ponds — a practicing Tasmanian beekeeper, woodworker, and educator based in Port Sorell since 2022. Every aspect of Frogmouth Ponds — from hive management to honey extraction — is hands-on and personally overseen.

Do I need any experience?
None at all. This course is designed for complete beginners with zero prior knowledge.
What should I wear?
Long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toe shoes. We provide all protective gear including veils and gloves.
How many people per session?
Maximum 6 participants to ensure quality hands-on time with the instructor.
Can I bring children?
Yes — children aged 10 and over are welcome when accompanied by a paying adult.
What happens after this course?
You can progress to our Constructing Beehive Components workshop, or we can advise on setting up your first hive at home in Tasmania.
