Tasmanian Garden Blend – Seasonal Multiflora (Raw)

Price range: $6.00 through $24.00

Looking for a raw Tasmanian multiflora honey with genuine local provenance? Frogmouth Ponds’ Garden Blend is a true seasonal honey — cold-extracted on our Port Sorell farm from bees foraging across hundreds of native and garden flower species. Never pasteurised, never ultra-filtered, and bottled straight from the extractor. Rich in diverse local pollens and popular with customers managing seasonal hay fever, this is real honey the way it was always meant to be. Our beeswax — from the same hives — also goes into our Tasmanian Beeswax Lip Balm and Harry Bastard Lip Armour.

A Snapshot of the Season Our Garden Blend is a true “Multiflora” honey, created by bees foraging on a diverse mix of backyard gardens, wildflowers, and native bushland in Port Sorell. Because the bees visit hundreds of different flower species — from native gums to blooming roses and vegetable gardens — this honey has a complex, rounded flavour that changes slightly with every season.

The Local Pollen Benefit Many of our customers swear by Garden Blend for its diverse pollen content. Because it contains nectar from a wide variety of local plants, it is the top choice for locals looking to consume local pollens to assist with seasonal hay fever and allergies. It is a true taste of the local environment.

Complex & Well-Rounded Unlike single-varietal honeys that have one dominant flavour, Garden Blend is a symphony. It is typically medium-amber in colour with a rich, balanced sweetness that isn’t too overpowering. It is the perfect “everyday honey” for those who want a bit of everything.

100% Raw & Unprocessed We bottle our Garden Blend straight from the extractor. It is never pasteurised or ultra-filtered, ensuring that all the beneficial local pollens remain in the jar where they belong.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Garden Blend different from single-varietal honey?

Single-varietal honeys like Leatherwood or Manuka come from one dominant flower source. Garden Blend is a true multiflora — our bees forage across hundreds of different flower species in Port Sorell, from native gums to backyard roses. The result is a complex, rounded flavour that changes slightly with every season — no two batches are exactly the same.

Can this honey help with hay fever?

Many of our customers use Garden Blend specifically for its diverse local pollen content. Because the honey is raw and unfiltered, the local pollens remain intact. Consuming local pollens daily is a traditional approach to building tolerance to seasonal allergens. We can’t make medical claims, but our hay fever customers keep coming back — make of that what you will.

Is this honey raw and unprocessed?

Yes — completely. We cold-extract our honey and bottle it straight from the extractor. It is never pasteurised, never ultra-filtered, and never heated above the hive temperature. This preserves all the natural enzymes, pollens, and beneficial compounds that commercial heating destroys. The same care goes into every product we make — from this honey to our Beeswax Lip Balm and Harry Bastard Lip Armour.

Why does my honey crystallise?

Crystallisation is the best proof that your honey is real. Pure, unheated honey naturally solidifies over time — it’s a sign of quality, not spoilage. To reliquefy, simply place the jar in warm water under 40°C. Never microwave or boil it — this destroys the beneficial enzymes that make raw honey special.

Can I ship honey to Western Australia or the Northern Territory?

Unfortunately no. Due to strict biosecurity laws protecting local bee populations, we cannot ship honey to WA or the NT. We ship to all other Australian states and territories without restriction.
