About this product
A full-length beekeeping suit cut for kids, made to the same specification as our adult
suit and finished with the Frogmouth Ponds bee embroidered on the chest. One piece from ankle
to hood, so there is no gap at the waist — which matters twice as much when the beekeeper
inside is eight years old and bouncing.
The round hat veil holds its shape away from the face, so the mesh stays off their nose and
they can actually see the frame you are showing them. It zips to the collar on both sides, and
the cuffs and ankles are elasticated to close the suit off at the wrists and feet.
Woven cotton-poly — the same traditional bee suit fabric as our adult suits. It
breathes, it takes a hot wash (it will need one), and it stands up to a season of being
climbed into, tripped over and dragged across box corners.
It arrives in a reusable Frogmouth Ponds zip bag, which is worth keeping — a suit
stored in its bag comes out of the shed ready to wear, not full of spiders.

Choosing a size
Measure before you order — suits are cut generously on purpose, and clothing sizes
are no guide here. Take two measurements: the chest at its fullest point just under the arms,
and from the bone at the back of the neck down the spine to the ankle.
If they fall between two sizes, take the larger one — the gap between
the suit and the child is the part that does the work, and kids only grow one direction.

Looking after it
Unzip and remove the veil before washing. Cold machine wash on a gentle cycle, line dry in
the shade. Do not tumble dry, bleach or iron the veil mesh. Wash it more often than you think
— alarm pheromone lingers in the fabric, and a clean suit gets a calmer reception.
